Today Futuraskolan International Rådan’s newest Safety Team members received their badges.
The badges were made by the woodwork teacher, Stephanie, using leftover material from another class’s project.
The School Safety Team – New MembersFuturaskolan International Rådan’s School Safety Team welcomed two new members: Borna and Nachuan are the new representatives for F-5 and Tim is the representative for 6-9.
Today, the new members learned how to check if a fire extinguisher is ok to use by looking to see if the needle is in the green. They also are learning to why the fire extinguishers are placed in specific positions around the school and why a fire exit must be kept free of furniture and other items.
Well done, team!
School Safety Team – Do You Know Where You are Going?Futuraskolan International Rådan’s Safety Team noticed that the elevator didn’t have any labels to indicate which classes are on which floor.
The Safety Team very correctly pointed out that for substitutes, new staff, parents and even emergency services, knowing which floor to go to is incredibly important.
Today, Safety Team member Tim created floor labels during his lunch break that will help everyone in the building.
Thanks, Tim!
Safety FirstAt Futuraskolan International Rådan, safety is a serious business!
One of Rådan’s teachers is the school’s Safety Officer and another staff member is the Fire Safety Office.
These two staff member thought that it would be a good idea to involve students in school safety as well.
Two students were selected to represent F-5 and 6-9. The students will participate in safety workshops and first aid information sessions and then be able to share their knowledge with their year groups.
Rådan’s Safety Officer made badges for the two students.
Welcome Tim and Lara to Rådan’s Safety Team!
