Grade 3 – Teacher: Niki – Me and my communities
IPC Topic: Living Together
Grade 3 is currently working on a project about communities. We talked about individuality and communities and the importance of both in the development of a person and society itself. During our art lessons, we created Picasso’s inspired portraits in order to celebrate individuality and the feeling of belonging in a community at the same time.
Goals:
- Experiment with oil pastels as a medium
- Learn new art vocabulary and information about the artists and their work
- Express themselves in a creative and playful way
